Traditional organic farming methods and no chemical input
Our Farming Methods
Traditional farming methods passed down through generations
Our ciders are made with care, passion and attention to detail from organic orchards growing on Ashdown Sand soils in the rolling hills of East Sussex close to the village of Sedlescombe near Battle. We sustain traditional farming methods handed down by expert generations. Our apples are organically grown with ZERO chemical input. This allows nature to flourish in and around the orchards, with lichen growing in abundance on the apple trees, never seen in sprayed orchards!
Harvesting only begins when the apples have fully ripened and fall naturally, giving maximum sugar levels and full development of the many subtle flavour components.
After harvesting, the apples are pressed and the fresh juice is pumped into scrupulously clean Stainless Steel vats where the controlled fermentation process takes place. Careful selection and blending of the many organic cider apples varieties we grow is what gives our ciders their unique individuality and character.
